What is Recurrent Acute Rhinosinusitis?

This inflammation can shrink the openings through which mucus and inhaled particles leave the sinuses, blocking the removal of these materials. Plus, inflammation can hinder the movements of tiny hairs called cilia, causing mucus to stay put and making the sinuses more likely to get a bacterial infection.
